Taipei-based startup Health2Sync has raised US$6 million Series B funding led by Japanese insurance group Sompo Holdings. It was joined by existing investors including Alibaba Group and WI Harper Group.
Based on a data-driven approach to diabetes care, Health2Sync helps patients improve blood sugar control and reduce risks of complications through automated care and analytics. It helps patients learn what factors affect their blood sugar and make sustainable lifestyle changes.
Funds raised will be used to accelerate the group’s expansion in Japan and optimise the existing product and service lines.
In August last year it secured US$3 million Series A funding led by WI Harper Group; with participation from Cherubic Ventures, iSeed Ventures, and SparkLabs Global Ventures. But the group was boosted by the strategic partnership it signed with Taiwan’s Ministry of Health and Welfare (MOHW) in October last year.
