Australian medical software developer Medadvisor has appointed two regional advisors to accelerate its global expansion strategy. Jamal Butt and Keith Kiarsis will lead MedAdvisor’s market entry strategies into the UK and US, respectively.
Butt brings an extensive background working within the UK’s largest pharmacy groups, including head of pharmacy with Walgreens Boots Alliance, head of healthcare solutions with Boots UK, and most recently UK head of healthcare services and business development with Celesio UK. He is currently a non-executive director with a local UK National Health Service Trust and the business development director of iWantGreatCare, an online review site for healthcare providers.
Kiarsis brings over a decade of experience specifically focused on improving medication adherence in the US and abroad, including Australia. Kiarsis has also worked in healthcare research at Harvard Medical School, and has co-authored three papers published in peer-reviewed journals. He has held several leadership roles including chief strategy officer of Health Literacy Worldwide , a provider of adherence programs in the APAC region and prior to that, he held several senior positions with Adheris Health.
